The buckles for Rocco Sauvage I found in Florence, Italy some years ago. I bought a small amount of this unique buckles because I loved the craftsmanship so much. They were hand forged by a small family-owned Italian company. I had them in a box in my office for a few years in Seattle. When I moved to San Diego in 2013 I was able to put a small collection together and had the belts handmade in Los Angeles by a friend of mine from Montenegro who has worked in leather for 30 years.
For those of you that know me personally – you know that I had a pug named Rocco Sauvage for ten years. He passed away in 2016 and now the pug we have is Marco. I have been designing leather goods for about 18 years now. My passion for design and premium leather goods is still as strong as ever. For the past three years, I have been heading up a design team at an Israeli/Palestinian fashion brand called Two Neighbors. This job has taken me into even more remote parts of the globe that I never imagined I would travel to. Palestine, in particular, is very interesting and we do the production of bags in Palestine and Israel. Designed by me of course.
I would like to bring Rocco Sauvage back to the front burner..stay tuned for new designs in the future. Remember the costs of my products reflect the premium quality of the buckles and leather that I use. All my products are made from the finest leather I can find.
